Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Zargar.pk collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the messages we send you on WhatsApp. We are the controller of the information described here.
1. Who We Are
Zargar.pk sells 925 sterling silver jewellery in Pakistan and operates from Tench Bhatta, Rawalpindi. You can reach us at any time using the details in section 12.
2. Information We Collect
We only ask for what we need to sell you jewellery and get it to your door:
- Your mobile number. This is your account — it is how you sign in and how we contact you about an order. It is the one thing we cannot do without.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash. Nobody at Zargar.pk can read it.
- Delivery details given at checkout: name, address, city, and postcode.
- Order history — the pieces you bought, when, and for how much.
- Payment reference information. For bank transfer or Easypaisa this is the transaction reference you give us, and any receipt image you choose to send. We never see or store card numbers: we do not take card payments on this site.
- Reviews you write, including any photographs you attach and the first name on your account.
- Messages you send us through the contact form or on WhatsApp, and our replies.
- An email address, only if you subscribe to our newsletter or give one on the contact form. Signing up for an account does not ask for one.
- Basic technical data your browser sends, plus the cookies described in section 10 — one to keep you signed in and hold your cart, and Google Analytics cookies that tell us how the shop is used.
3. How We Use It
- To create and secure your account, and to verify that the mobile number given belongs to you.
- To process, pack, and deliver your orders, and to confirm payment.
- To keep you informed about an order and to answer your questions.
- To publish reviews you have chosen to submit.
- To keep records we are required to keep, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.
- To improve the shop — which pieces are viewed and bought, in aggregate.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
4. WhatsApp Messages
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta, to message you. This section explains exactly how that works.
- What we send. One-time verification codes when you create an account; confirmation that your order and payment were received; updates when your order is dispatched or delivered; and replies to messages you send us.
- We do not send marketing or promotional messages on WhatsApp unless you have separately and explicitly asked us to.
- How you opt in. By entering your mobile number when you register or check out, you are asking us to contact you on WhatsApp about your account and your orders. We tell you this at the point you enter the number.
- What is shared with Meta. To deliver a message, your mobile number and the content of that message are transmitted to and processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates, acting for us. Meta's own handling of that information is governed by the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. We share your number with Meta for message delivery only — never for advertising.
- How to stop them. Reply STOP to any message from us, block our number in WhatsApp, or contact us using the details below and we will remove you. Because order updates and verification codes are how we run an order, opting out may mean we cannot process new orders for you.
- We will never ask for your password, a one-time code, your full card number, or your bank login over WhatsApp. If a message claiming to be from us asks for any of these, it is not from us — please report it to us.
5. Who We Share Information With
We share the minimum necessary, and only with:
- Meta Platforms — your mobile number, so a WhatsApp message can be delivered to you (see section 4).
- Delivery couriers — the name, address, and phone number needed to bring your parcel.
- Our bank and mobile wallet provider — to confirm that a payment you made has arrived.
- Google — analytics data about how pages are used, so we can improve the shop (see section 10). This is not linked to your account or orders.
- Our hosting and IT providers — who store the site's data on our behalf under contract.
- Authorities — where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Some of these providers, including Meta and Google, operate outside Pakistan, so your information may be processed abroad.
6. How Long We Keep It
- Account details: for as long as your account is open.
- Order and payment records: kept after an order completes, because tax, accounting, and warranty claims require it.
- Verification codes: minutes. They are stored hashed and are destroyed as soon as they are used or expire.
- WhatsApp conversations: kept while they are useful for supporting your order, then deleted.
- Reviews: until you or we remove them.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You may ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong — you can also edit your delivery details yourself at checkout.
- Delete your account and information (see section 8).
- Stop messaging you, or remove a review you posted.
Write to us using the details in section 12. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
8. Deleting Your Data
To have your account and personal information deleted, message us on WhatsApp at 0092 336 8741290 or email contact@zargar.pk from the account you registered with, asking us to delete your data. Tell us the mobile number on the account so we can find it. We will confirm your identity, delete your account, contact details, reviews, and message history within 30 days, and confirm when it is done.
One exception: records of completed orders are kept where tax and accounting law requires us to keep them. Those are retained in the minimum form needed and are not used to contact you again.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, verification codes are hashed and short-lived, and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
10. Cookies and Analytics
We use two kinds of cookies, and no more than that:
- Strictly necessary — one cookie keeps you signed in and holds your cart, another protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Blocking these stops the cart and sign-in from working.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the shop is used: which pages are visited, from which country and device, and where visitors arrive from. Google sets its own cookies to do this and processes the data on our behalf, in line with Google's Privacy Policy.
We look at analytics in aggregate, to see what people browse and buy — never to identify you personally, and we do not link it to your account or order history. We do not run advertising or re-targeting cookies, and we do not sell any of this data. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website using Google's browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or a content blocker. The shop works normally either way.
11. Children
This shop is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly.
